Mrs. Jones is a sister of Mr. Shull and is assisting Mrs. Shull in for her sick 'brother. Miss Virginia Pate and Miss Allen, of East Penii street, Bedford, were the guests of Mr. and Josiah Hissong from Monday, July 13th till Friday the 18h. The'young iadies had a igood time and were good company. Come again. Wednesday July 16th was the birthday anniversary of Mrs. Josiah Hissong. About ten o'clock W. M. Hissong and family of Cessna, and Mrs. Joe P. Allqn and daughter Bernice of Bedford arrived and surprised 'Mrs. Hissong very much, as was just starting, upon an invitation to get her birthday dinner away from home. The followng persons were present:--Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Hissong, W. M. Hissong, Mrs. Joe P. Allen, Misses Lou Amick, Pate, Louise and Bernice Allen Mr. Will Hissong. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Earnest of Clairsville, were guests of their parents on Sunday. Tihe Sunday guests at the home Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Hissong were follows:--Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Poorman, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Ball and son William, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Nicodemus of Schellsburg, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Feight and children, Walter and Stella and Mrs. Maude Dibert Bedford. The dinner was in honor the marriage of (Mr. Bert Nicodemus and Miss Anna Pooriman. ·Misses Ruth and Anna Hissong, of Windber, arrived at the home Mr. and Mrs. Josiaih Hissong on Sunday afternoon and will spend sometime visiting friends and relatives in Cessna and Bedford. E. C. King and wife and Harry Ktag a n d ' wife of near were guests of the family of H. S. MoCreary and Howard Diehl on Sunday. J. E. McCreary of Sharon, Pa. visiting friends in Bedford County af* present. ·Ivan MicMullin of Windber and C. Smith, Jr. of Braddock, "were guests of R. C. Smith, Sr. on Sunday.
