at Alfor n d Funeral Services For George Halsted STRAWBERRY POINT (Special)---Funeral services were held Lethis afternoon at the Harry Burial association home in Decorah for George Halsted, 73. He died Saturday at Decorah where he has been employed for some time. Burial was at Calmar. Son of -Russell and Margaret Halsted, he was born Oct. 3, on a farm near Independence, when 10 years oi age went in his parents t o Amswoith, Nebr., I where he llved before returning to Moore: Free, lowa. On Nov. 29, 1900 he was married to Ella Case. One son was born to them, who died in infancy. They farmed in this community until the death of Mrs. Halsted on Dec. 6, 1930. Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Harris of Waterloo and Lily Waring of Arlington, two brothers, Rufus of Jerome, Idaho, and William of Strawberry Point. His father, mother and a brother Walter preceded him in death.
