many n I HERE were two Christmas eve debutantes Miss Evelina Porter Gleaves and Miss MaryTruxtun Garland representatives representatives of old navy families and yesterday while the entertaining was informal there was a lot of it including many eggnog parties afternoon teas and dances One of the merriest of the dances was Mrs Joseph E Kuhns open house at the Washington Washington barracks for her son Cadet Parker Kuhn and a number of his friends from West Point who are his guests for the week While open house on New Years day except in a few official homes is becoming obselefe in Washington there will be many receptions on that day for which cards are now out Mitt Margaret Wilton Hottest I Miss Margaret Wilson entertained a family party at dinner at the White House last evening her guests including including both of her sisters The dlnher was served at 7 oclock making a happy conclusion to the celebration of Christmas many floral remembrances were sent to Mrs Marshall The Secretary of State - and Mrs Lansing Lansing had a family party at home during the day Including the Misses Lansing who are spending the winter here In the evening they dined informally with Dr David Jayne Hill and Mrs Hill at their home in Rhode Island avenue Th Secretary of War and Mrs Gar -
