The Iberia Star infers from the active desire desire of planters to have a railroad built to Abbeville, that no difficulty wUl be experienced experienced In obtaining the atght of way. It recommends a'route diverging from the New Iberia and Petite Anse Railroad at a point about Jive miles from New Iberia. The branch would - go through thsCarlin and Greig prairies. The project is in good hands, and will be pushed to execution Immediately Immediately subsequent to the completion of the road now bonding to Petite Anse. The Star says: . " The project of - 11b king Abbeville. thriving town, situated at a distance of twenty - five miles west of this place, the county, seat of Vermilion, had no doubt been favorably conceived long before the inception of the branch road to the Salt Island; bnt this latter, together with the benefits tt will Have ror New Iberia when ultimately completed and In dallv oner tion, largely facilitates the execution of the zormer project."
