* Veteran Showman Is Dead at Fort Worth FORT WORTH, Feb. 2.—(/P)— Oscar F. Gould, 82, veteran showman who was known to his friends everywhere as "Governor" Gould, died early today in a hospital here of influenza. Governor Gould had been retired from active participation in show business since 1926. He lived in an apartment in the Palace Theater building, which Interstate Theaters fixed up for him in 1938. His wife died In 1912. Born at Eaton Rapids, Mich., Governor Gould began his career as a treasurer In a circus and later worked with carnival and minstrel shows.
