At the request of Mr Chighizola we publish the annexed card: ..jjitiiics nrrjEAi. i.Ttnticinen : see in the Post of yesterday n statement which does me great injustice, and which I desire to contradict through your.paper. The statement made is that I said in the Criminal Courtroom that I had voted at the late election, and afterwards claimed to be a subject of Italy. The tacts of the case are that the Clerk of the Court asked me if I was a citizen of the United States, and I replied that I had never taken any oath to that effect, which I never have doiit. Col. Cq'emau then asked if my fetner was' riot a ciflzeft of the L'nited States, and I answered in the negative. Coming to this country a minor (thirteen years of age) gave mo citizenshiD. and the iianers uuon which I voted were given to me hy one of the Kepubllcan candidates, who asked no questious as to my qualifications, but expected me to vote the "Calf-Kllfer?' ticket, - Hence thestatement.
