Enougn of Circus life. Several men from the Sixth Ward, known aa Punker Beggs, Flemings, Birchey Campbell, Satin Hussoy and Leander Whitlock, engaged themselves with Wathburn's circns while in this city. They did work fn the^tent gang, under John Caldwell, the foreman, who had been with Barnum for 19 years. It is stated that when they received their first pay, at Bed Bank, on Saturday, the whole crowd went on a drunk, and when they returned were unfit for work.
