Classes to Be Resumed after Two Weeks' Vacation; Programs Presented. PARfctSH, Dec. 30—(By Corre- spoi^dent of The News)—School clofied Friday, Dec. 23, for a two weeks' vacation, and will reopen Monday, Jan. 9. Miss Betty Pence arranged'a Christmas program and decorated a Christas tree. ' The program was held Thursday evening, .-and a large crowd attended. attended. Bags of candy and nuts were distributed, .among the children children present and the adults were treated with bright red apples. The Callsen school program was held. at the Callsen school Friday evening. Elm City school held its Christmas program on Wednesday. These three schools'are but a few miles apart, and the people in these school districts usually attend and enjoy all three programs. Miss Betty Spence is spending rher Christmas vacation with her parents in'Antigo. Others attending attending schools who are home for the vacation are: Miss Marion Payne, Senior in the Antigo high school; Arthur Dutcher and Claude Wien- andt, students in the Rhinelander high school. Miss Elaine Dutcher, who teaches at De Pere, is spending her vacation vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Dutcher, of Parrish Junction, and with her sister, Mrs. Evelyn Rice, of Rhinelander.
