Vinsant Is a native of Arkansas and IB still a tireless and energetic worker despite his 78 years. "I've never had a bad congregation" is his favorite remark. His first church was at the age of 22 at Alma, Ellis county. He has traveled by wagon, buggy and all types of travel, and under all conditions. The charges Included Alma and Oak Grove; Corslcana, Pleasant Grove and Eureka; Big Hill, Odds, Steeles Creek and Ben Hur (two assignments); Kerens and Powell; Bosqueville and Speegleville; Hewitt and Springs Valley; Bruceville and Rosenthal; Abbott and Vaughn; State Orphans Home at Waco as chaplain for seven years; Gatesville, Park Gate, Flat and Brown Creek; Penelope, Birone and New Hope; Chatfield, Roane and Tupelo; Rlchland. More than 2.700 people have joined the church during his ministry, 304 babies have been baptized and 266 couples have been married. During his term as chaplain at the Waco Home, the minister gave Bibles to each student in the institution and 207 of the children joined the church of their choice. The Richland congregation, with the women's organization as hostess, made arrangements for and conducted the dinner at the noon hour. During the afternoon the couple was given a "surprise shower" by their family and. friends.
