Funeral Services Set In Thornton For Alf Clancy THORNTON — (SpU — G. A. Alf Clancy, 73, retired Thornton Thornton grocer, died Tuesday at noon in the Veterans Hospital at Marlin. Funeral services will be held in the Assembly of God Church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Ministers Clendenen and Hodge officiating. The Fisher and Nance Funeral Home is in charge of burial arrangements. Mr. Clancy had lived in Thornton most of his life and owned and operated the Clancy Grocery for many years. He was a brother of Mrs. Ethel Asher, of Mexia, and an uncle of Cecil Asher, of Mexia. Besides his wife, he is survived survived by a son, Grady Clancy Haskel Clancy, of Dallas, and three other sisters, Mrs. Hassie Herod, of Houston; Mrs. Bessie Bessie Carpenter, of Clute, and Mrs. Geveva Williams, of Clule.
