'Around and About UTAH COUNTY By ROSALIE HALL WILDE FR 4-1447 Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Dixon have been visiting from their home in Gooding, Ida., with their son and daughter-in-law, Dr. and -Mrs. Dwight R. Dixon and their children, Deanna, Paul, Glenn, Tommy and baby Helen Elaine. The elder Dixons have also visited with a sister-in-law, Mrs. Etelka W. Robinson. Pvt. Barry Gleave, sou of Mr. and Mrs. Winferd Gleave, 1107 E. 230 S., Provo, is spending an eight day leave from Ft. Ord, Calif., with his parents, other, family members and friends. At the completion of his leave, Pvt. Gleave will report for a new assignment assignment in Missouri. A farewell dinner Saturday evening honored Wayne I vie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Ivie of Springville, prior to his departure oij a Central Atlantic LDS mission Covers were laid for nine couples, comprised of neighbors and friends. Word has been received of the birth of a son to Wally and Carol i Murdock Wrathail of Palo Alto, Calif. The paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Emmitt Murdock of Provo. The new arrival has an older sister, Brenda. Mr. and Mrs. Vern A. Hurst and son Vernie recently returned from Pendleton, Ore., where they visited with Mrs. Hurst's father, James K. Logan, who was seriously ill in the hospital there. Mr. Logan is reported to be much improved and is now recuperating at his home. Mrs. Hurst's brother, Jesse Ray Logan of American Fork accompanied them on the trip. Collette Carter, of Orem is reported recovering from surgery performed earlier this week at the Utah Valley Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. John Thompson of Springville were visited by a group of nurses from the St. Francis Hospital in La Crosse, Wis., where their daughter is getting nursing training. Bonnie Schild, Dene Naughtin, Susan Schoenberger, Mary Gundlfinger, Betty Roskos and Mary Wnaley stayed a few days with the Thompsons before going on to Twin Falls where they will nurse at the Catholic Hospital there.
