Miss Winchester Is Honored At Informal Party Miss Effie Winchester, the fiancee of Leonard Duck, was the complimented complimented guest at a party at which the bridegroom-elect's sister. Miss Martha Duck, entertained at her home at 161 Clark Street Friday evening. Miss Winchester, the daughter of and Mrs. J. L. Winchester of Tulare Street, is a graduate of the Fresno Technical High School and attended the Fresno State College. Duck is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Duck. He was graduated from the Tranquillity High School and the Sresno State College. He is now teaching school in Tranquillity. No definite date for the wedding has been set. The evening at the Duck home w a s oent in playing court whist for which prizes were awarded. ·Miss Winchester was presented w .'th a shower of miscellaneous Kilts. Boquets of japonlca and acacia ornamented the roonu and also the table trays on which refreshments refreshments were served. The guests wore: Mrs. E L Bcn- not. Mrs. Mabel Hemp, Mrs. Eunice Reeves, Mrs. Emma Winchester. Mrs. Mary Duck. Mrs. Emma Duck Mrs. Sheila Anderson and Mrs Lucy Randolph of Tranquillity Misses Lockev Baker.
