Sylvester Smith Sylvester E. Smith. 78, died at his home at Spring Hope on Wednesday evening, Spet 24. He was bom in Alum Bank, son of Joseph B. and Mary Ann (Hoover) Smith. He was married May Valentine, June 26, 1890. He is survived by his \yife~and .six children--Mrs. Grant Snyder, Schellsburg, R. D.; Isealson Smith, New Paris, R. D.; Ivory Smith, Ha-Ty Horner and Draper Smith, Bedford 'R- D., and Bruce Smith, Mansfield. Ohio. Also surviving are three brothers, Samuel and Howard New Paris and Clarence, Johnstown. Johnstown. Three daughters and a son preceded him in death. Membership was held in the Point E. U. B, church. Funeral,.services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Smith home and at the Fishertown Reformed Reformed cemetery, the Rev. C. R. Doverepife officiating. IiVrment was in the Church cemetery under the direction of the Blackburn funeral home of Pleasantville.
