PARIS, TEXAS Howland School Term Is Closed After Program Rowland, school closed its term last Friday witn a picnic and baij game, which Howland won from Roxton. 3-0, before s crowd of about 400, in the afternoon. The commencement program was held Isst Thursday evening, R. N. Ssndlin o? Cooper, deputy state superintendent of schools making the principal address, and The Paris News cup for the Class B county championship, being presented by the managing editor. W. N. Furey. Christine Funk was valedictorian and Sadie Gatlin, salutalorian. diplomas being awarded also to Jar.e Jones. Jessie Keener, Ted Jamison, Wilson Carroll, John Kirkham and Harold Golden- Medals presented for Interscholastic League contest -winners were extemporaneous speech, Willism E.
