Ida in PR
From the executive secretary's office at San Juan, Ida Jewell D'Egilbert reported on the damage done to trees in the areas known so well by the American soldier in the Spanish-American war 30 years ago. She told of the remarkable "comeback" of boxwood three feet at the trunk which were uprooted. After pruning and replacement they are bushing forth. She saw a three-foot stick driven by the 140-mile wind into a Royal Palm at Lares, Porto Rico.
