Bn« at 4:45 o'clock yesterday morning, win be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon afternoon at the Meadrifle Methodist Church. Burial win be in Resthaven Memorial Garden!, under direction of the Wright Funeral Rome of Meadville. The body wffl lie in state at the funeral home until noon tomorrow. Mr. DeVaul was headed east when his 1963 Pontiac coach ran off the road onto tlje shoulder on the south side and into a ditch. The State Highway Patrol said it traveled 375 feet in the ditch, struck a concrete culvert, went through the air a distance of about 30 feet, then wrapped itself around a utility pole. DeVaul was pinned in the car, which was demolished. Death was instantaneous, from wounds of the forehead. The car was brought to Lionberger's Lionberger's in Chillicothe. The accident was investigated by State Troopers William Townsend of Chillicothe and R. L. Leidorff and Gene Vaughn of Brookfield, Livingston County Coroner J. B. Webber and Linn County coroner. The fatality was listed as having occurred in Linn County aince the (JPi utility pole struck by the car was on that side of the county line. Ronald Eugene DeVaul was born in Chillicothe on Nov. 30, 1943, a son of Lester DeVaul and Martha (Meneely) DeVaul. He attended Chillicothe High School and was graduated from Meadville High School with the class of 1962. He enlisted in the United States Army, received basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., and on Jan. 1, 1964, was assigned at Frankfurt for a 30-month tour of duty in Germany. He was a grader operator. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers and their wives, Jimmy Lee and Barbara DeVaul of Chillicothe and William Richard and Barbara DeVaul of Meadville; his paternal grandmother, grandmother, Mrs. Hester DeVaul of Meadville, and two nieces, Kimberly Kimberly Lynn and Tamara Lea DeVaul DeVaul of Chillicothe. Mr. DeVaul was employed at the Courtney-Wood Oil company in Chillicothe. in of to in attended
