Sept. 17. at 7 o'clock, in St. Paul's Lutheran Lutheran Church. Wood River, with the Rev. A. H. Beck officiating. l"X3uhle ring ceremony was used. White, gladioli and pom pons decorated the altar, illuminated illuminated with tapers in candelabra. candelabra. Miss Johnson wore an ice blue satin ballerina' length gown, fashioned along princess princess lines and styled with a lace jacket. She wore a white satin hat, and carried a white Bible topped with a while orchid. orchid. Mrs. Tanner Cornpton of St. Louis, sister of the bride, was mali-on of honor. Her frock of blue crystalette was ballerina ballerina length and was made with a matching jacket. Her hat was of blue satin, and her Jlouc-rs yellow and bron/o chrysanthemums. Francis McCune was best man lor his brother, and Tanner Tanner Cornpton and Paul D. McCune. McCune. another brother ot the bridegroom, were ushers, Mrs. Henry Hopper! WHS organist, organist, anad Mrs. Donald Weg- maii .sang. Reception was held in the social room of the church, and a three tiered wedding cake, blue candles and wedding hells were used in the decorative- scheme. Miss Vondell Joyner -and Mrs. Robert Seherer of Dei-alur, Mrs. Dale Jackson, C;irbondale. and Mrs. Paul McCune McCune served. Miss Joyner. Mrs. Seherer and Mrs. Jackson Jackson were classmates of the bride at Si. John's Hospital School of Nursing, Springfield. Mr. and Mrs. McCune plan to leave, in November for Los Angeles, Calif., to make their homo. Mr. McCuno served with the Merchant Marine for tour years and in the army two \ears. He is a graduate ol East Alton-Wood River High School, and attended'an electronic electronic school 'in Chicago for two years. He operates a service service station in Wood Hiver. The former- Miss Johnson is a graduate of East Alton-Wood Kivor High School and ol St. John's Hospital School of Nur— ing, and is employed a I Wood River Township Hospital as night, supervisor-.
