Joseph Fortin Joseph W. Fortin, 917 Cedar St. •died Sunday at 6:30 a.m. at War Memorial Hospital. He had been ill for five months. Mr. Fortin was born at Keldon, Mich., Nov. 13, 1905, and had spent most of his life in Sault Ste. Marie, where his marriage took place Feb. 12, 1929. A carpenter carpenter by occupation, Mr. Fortin was a member of St. Mary's Church and of the Moose Lodge. Survivors include his widow, Margaret; a daughter, Mrs. Gerald Gerald (Virgene) Cn'derman of fhe Sault; a son, Donald, of San Diego, Calif.; and seven grandchildren. grandchildren. He also leaves five brothers. Fred, William, Victor and Edv.'in Fortin of the Sault and Edmond Fortin of Traverse City; and four sisters, Mrs. Pete (Millie) Desarmeaux, Desarmeaux, Mrs. Clifford dMary) Benoit and Miss Alice Fortin, all of the Sault. and Mrs. William (Amanda) Torok of Messina, N.Y. Friends may call at the Bailey- Newhouse Funeral Home beginning beginning at 7 o'clock this evening. Prayers will be said at (he funeral funeral home Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at St. Mary's Church at 9 a.m., with burial in Oaklawn Chapel Gardens.
