M. Charles W. Pennifield ; Mrs. Charles W. Pennifield. 84. rhose. husband was one of the eteran lockkeepers of the C. ianal and for whom Pennifield's ack No. 22 was named, died in a nursing home in Gaithers- irg. For more than half a century, he couple lived at Pennifield's Id stone lockhouse, which was ullt around 1830. The lock itself t three miles below Seneca. Before her carriage in 1884, she was Miss /argaret McCrossin. After her usband's death, she lived in Senca Senca before going to Gaithersburg I everal years ago.^ Everhart, 4413 Montgomery v venue, Bethesda, and a brother, Iharlie McCrossin, Travilah. Funeral services at 11 a. m. jday. Burial in Darnestown.
