Remaining in Del Rio is CMSgt Floyd Wilson, 109 Dobkins Drive, who arrived here last year after a three year tour at Hickam AFB, Hawaii. While here he has been assigned to the deputy commander for maintenance an he has spent all of his military cereer in air* craft maintenance duties. - :j ' During World War II Sergeant Wilson served 33 months in Australia Australia arid New Guinea with the 49th ighter Group. He also served in Okinawa, Japan and Korea from 1949--59. Major base assignment assignment include Stewart ABF, Tenn. — 1952-'54; Gary AFB, Tex.— 193* '56 and Sikorsky Aircraft Co. Jh Connecticut from 1956-'59. While at the Sikorsky pfcnt the Eureka, Kans. serviceman served with a team which accepted helicopters for all the, armed forces. Majors Garold Hill and Joseph Nosky and MSgt Pat Hardeman will remain in Texas. Major Hill came to LAFB in January 1961 after serving three years at Laredo Laredo AFB. Nearly all of his 22 years service has been as a pilot pilot or aircraft maintenance officer. The 41-year-old officer, who was reared in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, saw service as a WWII B-24 pilot in 1945 at "Biaic, Mjpdanawa and Okinawa. He returned to Okinawa as a B 29 pilot in 1952-'54. Major Hill also served in Germany from 1948--50 and Iceland from 1957-'S8. Major ill is married to the former former Caroyyn Noonan of San Antonio. Antonio. The Hills have decided to return to the Alamo City for retirement. retirement. While at LAFB he was assigned to the Field Maint. Sqdn. Major Joseph Nosky, 9013B Arantz St., has been at LAFB since 1959 and headed the 4080th Food Service, Operations and Wing Headquarters Squadrons. He has served as Officers Club secretary and continued as Food Service officer since April 1962. During WWII Major Nosky flew 500 combat hours in C-46 transports transports in the China-Burma-India area. Other overseas tours included included Germany, Turkey and France France from 1956-'59 as an H-19 helicopter helicopter pilot. Major lours have been spent at Reese AFB, Tex. from 1951-'53; Mather AFB, Calif.—1953-'56 and Elmendorf AFB, Alaska from!948'51. from!948'51. He is a senior pilot with 4,200 flying hours and earned the Distinguished Distinguished Flying Cross. While at Laughlin the Buffalo,, N. Y. officer has been active with the Del Rio Kiwanis Club serving as secretaryl. He is married to the former Marie Tepke of Long Island City, N.Y. Mrs. Nosky and ( their four children are already at home in Brownsville where Major Nosky expects to operate a charter charter fishing boat service.
