Lockroy, when Marine Minister, the post of librarian to the Naval Department, which has no library, and he wrote sea songs by the yard. But when Admiral Bernard succeeded M. Lockroy, he refused to countenance such "tomfoolery," and the unfortunate poet was reduced to the rank of an ordinary clerk in the Department. Department.
