What authorities called "a sor- lid chain of event" firsl came lo iglil early in January, when Ihe ;rave of a 28-year-old woman was found lo have been disturbed. D olice said an atlompl had been made lo remove Ihe body. Then the body of a 17-year-old irl svas found to have been stolen from ils grave in anolher cemetery. Reynolds, who told officers when lie was arrested he had realized ! lie was sick, admitted taking the younger girl's body Dec. 28 and trying lo lake that of the older woman a few days later. Reynolds and his wife of about four years were living in a trailer near Jacksonville. His wife had gone to her home for Ihe Christmas Christmas holidays at the time Uic Uic crimes were commillcd, aulh- orities said. He had been .stationed at the air base for about six months.
