r'Sarah (Losey) McNew, t>80.Years Old, Invalid Many Years. .FUNERAL' WEDNESDAY >• .Mrs. Sarah MoNow. widow (if rGeorge Riley McNew, died at h.-r . home in Atlanta Monday evening. Bt 4 :16," death ending an illness • Of several years, caused by bronchial bronchial and heart trouble. For the pasteight,years Mrs. McNew had been an invalid, at times improv­ ing'to the extent that she was able to be up and around and then biding biding compelled to return to bed. The deceased had resided in Atlanta Atlanta for the past is years coming coming from Ripley county and was a woman loved and respected by all, being a devout Christian, and a long time member of the Atlanta Atlanta Methodist church. Following the death the body was brought to the Leatlieniuul funeral home in Tipton to pivpart-; it,for burial and was taken to th* home in Atlanta Tuesday morning morning to lie in stale until the hour of the service. Friends art invited j to call at any* time. The funeral services will !n> held in the Atlanta Methodist church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev._ L. F. Ulmer in charge and burial will follow ::i the Sumner cemetery, beside 'he husband whose death occurred about 2 years ago. Sarah McNew was born in Ripley Ripley county, September 22. 1S.">:>. being one of seven children born to Solomon and Mary Losey. Of the seven children three now stir- 1 \vive, a brother Solomon Losey tiding at Holton and two sisters Mrs. Clara Talbot and Mrs. Anna Bassett residing at Versailles. December 22, 1S75 the deceased deceased was united in marriage to George Ripley McNew, the wed- 1 ding taking place at the home of the bride's parents in Ripley county county and ten years later she. and her husband removed to Atlanta. Seven Seven children were born to the couple four surviving, they being Solomon McNew residing northwest northwest of Atlanta; Mrs. Ella Peters of* Lapel; Jerry McNew of Van Wert, O. and Miss Gertrude M.-> New at home. Mrs. McNew is also survived-by seven grandchildren, grandchildren, one of whom. Miss Lena !McNew made her home with the .grandmother. There are also 2 {great-grandchildren and a num- iber of nephews and nieces. !
