Wallen Rite* '' Funeral services were conductec Thursday at the Methodist churc] by Rev. W. A. Powers at 2 p. m for Edward S. Wallen, age. 81, whi passed away Christmas day at , o'clock, after a short illness o pneumonia. Mr. Wallen was born near Cassville, Mo., Aug. 4, 1854 where he grew to manhood. He wa married to Miss Navada Katherin Tucker, March 3, 1871. To then were born 10 children, six of whom are living, and all were presen at his passing. He came to Fairlam 27 years ago where he has residei since. Mr. Wallen was convertei and united with the Church of Goc when a young man. He is survive: by his aged wife, four sons ani two daughters, Mrs. Ollie Haddocl of Neosho, Mo,, Mrs. Alice Lonj of Fairland, William E. Wallen o Sapulpa, Jackson B., Benjamin H and R. F. Wallen, all of Fairland and 19 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. Mr. Wallen was th father of the late James L, Wallen who was killed on the World wa battlefield in France, for whom th Fairland Legion post is named. On brother, S, V, Wallen, aso survive him. Interment was made in th Fairland cemetery under directio of the Lane Funeral home.
