Amanda Knight, along with her husband, contributed financial aid and support to the expansion of the university, including the building building of College hall, of the training training building, the Maeser Memorial building and other expansions. She was particularly interested in assisting young people to gain an education and awarded scholarships scholarships for that purpose. She was a member of the B. Y. U. Women's club, her husband husband being for many years a member of the board of directors directors of the institution. She continued continued her interest in the school until the time of her death at age of 81. The new dormitory, whic!h will bear the name of the uni- ' versity's benefactoress is now under under construction and is expected to be ready for occupancy during the latter part of the winter quarter.
