Flowers were carec for by Mrs. Ocle Dickersbach and Mrs. Frederick Smith. Mrs. Charles D. Costello sang "Rock of Ages' and "Beyond the Sunset," .--com panied by Mrs. J. E. Ellison, pi anist. The following life sketch was read: Louis Franklin Evans, son of James K. Evans and Dora Belle Jones, was born Sept. 3, 1892, at Amity, Mo., and passed away on Nov. 15, 1959, at his home in Malvern, Malvern, la. Following the death of his mother, when he was only three days old, he was cared for by his aunt Wrenth Hedrick until he was about 12 years of age. After that he made his home with his father. He became a member of the Christian Christian church while still a young man in Missouri. Air. Evans entered the armed services of his country at Glenwood, Glenwood, la., on May 13, 1918, and served with the 51st Field Artillery, Artillery, 307th Cavalry, at Del Rio Tex., Ft. Worth, Tex., and Ft. Sill' Okla. He received his discharge on I Feb. 10, 1919 at Camp Dodge, Ja. i Mr. Evans was married on April i m i o * ,. /-iii H _ * S trip Byington — ' ~ "MUJ.1M11 *t\4 W|| f\LHH 23 1918 to Gladys Eva Lang at Tabor, la. To this union five children children were born. Except for a few years of farming farming and one year spent in southern southern Mississippi, Mr. Evans had liv- ?d in Malvcrn since 1923. He greatly enjoyed his work with the American Legion and the Royal I Neighbors of America. Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his parents nnd two sisters; sisters; by two sons, Walter Albert and Junior Franklin, who died in infancy; and by one daughter, Martha Allene, who passed away at the age of 12 years. He is survived by his wife Gladys and two children, Mrs. Hazel Hazel Louise Simpson of Farragut and Carl Leonard Evans of Malvern; Malvern; by one brother. James Harvey Harvey Evans, of Jameson. Mo.; three granddaughters, Judith Kay Evans Evans and Patricia Michelle Simpson; Simpson; three grandsons, Riley Franklin Franklin and John James Simpson and Ronald Lee Evans; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives relatives and many friends. Interment was in the Malvern cemetery with military services at graveside.
