LEAGUE CITY - Gail Bedow. 59 of 407 El Toro in League City, died al 9 a.m. Wednesday in Galveslon County Memorial Hospital in La Marque. He was born on Jan. 15. 1910. Seattle, Wash., and was a retired postal employe and was the first postal carrier for the League City Post Office. He was a veteran of World II and received the Purple Heart for wounds incurred at the invasion of Iwo Jima. After his discharge, Bedow for a time was member of Ihe Texas Cily Police Department He also was a former road superintendent ol Precinct 4 ol Galveston County. He was a member and past commander of Dickinson VFW Post 6378 and was a member past commander ol the lx?ague Cily American Legion Post 554. He was a League City resident 16 years. lie is survived by his wife. Mrs Ruth Bedow; one daughter. Mrs. Lavelle Skufca of Hitchcock; and five grandchildren. grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m. Friday in Holy Trinity Episcopal Church with pastor, Rev. George Welsch, officiating Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery in League City. Dickinson VFW Post 3216 will conduct graveside rites. The funeral is under the direction Jack 11. Rowc Funeral Home league Cily.
