IUG FAVORITE Marquette, Mich., Jan. 17.—All navigation navigation records for this port were broken yesterday afternoon, when the tug Favorite, owned by the Great l>akes Towing & Wrecking company, the largest and best equipped tug on fresh water, steamed into the harbor at 3:30 o'clock. from Manitou island. She was been engaged in work on the steamer L. C. Waldo, which was driven on Gull rock, near Manitou island, in the heavy November gale, and also on the steamer Turrett Chief, another freighter, which is almost almost high and dry on the rocks five miles from Copper Harbor. The sight of a large steamer coming coming into harbor on the 15th day of January, was a most unusual one, and was watched with interest by hundreds of people, who had heard the Favorite* whistle when she was still out in the lake.
