John Jacob Grudle
of $52.00 cwt OBITUARY John Jacob Grudle was born Sept, 20, 1894 and died July 21. 1969 at the Grape Community Community Hospital at the age of 74 years, 10 months, and one day. He was one of seven children bom to Joseph and Mary Grudle at Council Blufft, Iowa, Ifc farmed with his father until he WM, united in to Nfinnie Bruce in 1916 at the Plumer settlement Catholic Church. To this union seven children were bonu After his marriage he farm* ed near Glenwood for six years. In 1923 the family moved to Malvern where they farmed for 20 years before moving to Thurman. He fanned there un til 1949. He then moved to Sidney where he lived until his death. John was a prominent cattle feeder and farmer as well as maintaining a large dairy herd for many years. He is survived by his wife, Minnie; sons, Elden of Whiting..'] Everett and Elmo of Sidney; four daughters, (June) Mrs. Madison Van Scyoc of Thurman, Thurman, (Eunice) Mrs. Wilbur Travis, (Marvel) Mrs. Donald Travis both of Sidney, (Maria# Mrs. Richard Hall of Glenwood; Glenwood; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, brothers, Ed of Portland,Ore. and Arthur, Council Bluffs; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Bruce of Red Oak and Mrs. L. F. Jens of Glenwood. A solemn funeral mass was celebrated at St. Mary's Church in Hamburg, July 24 Monsegnor Peter N. Schmitz, Father O. L. Kaufman, and Father John Cunningham.
