Wed at St. Paul Church Janet Hill of Holmesville became the bride of David C. Colgrove of Wymore in a July 5 double ring ceremony at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Beatrice. The Rev. Tim Zimmerman of Odell performed performed the 7 p.m. ceremony in the presence of the immediate immediate families of the couple. Bouquets of miniature carnations, mums, daisies, asters and statice in shades of purple and lavender and two nine branch candelabra holding lavender candles and greenery, provided the background for the ceremony. Lavender bows and greenery were on the ends of the pews. Louise DeShazo, organist, played traditional wedding music and Dorothy Percival sang "I Love You Truly." The bride who was given in marriage by her father, wore a 'gown of white polyester crepe in a Victorian style with lace encrusted stand-up collar. The Bishop sleeves were deeply cuffed. Vertical bands of lace were. on. the yoke and sleeves. There was a deep flounce at the bottom of the skirt which was lace edged. She wore a white picture hat with a band of gown matching fabric. Her cascade bouquet in shades of purple and lavender was of miniature carnations, daisies, mums, asters, statice and baby's breath. Mrs. Kathy Hill of Lincoln was her sister-in-law's matron of honor. She wore a gown of lavender polyester crepe with white lace trim on collar, yoke and cuffs of the Bishop sleeves. Her white picture hat had a band of lavender velvet ribbon. She carried a colonial bouquet of flowers almost identical to those in the bride's bouquet. Jeffrey Hill of Wymore was ring bearer. Mike Colgrove, brother of the groom, was best man. Another brother, Kent, was usher. Following the ceremony a supper reception was held at the V.F.W. Club. Brothers of the bride, James Hill of Beatrice and Jerry Hill of Lincoln were hosts. Both the bride and groom are graduates of Southern High School at Wymore. The bride has attended Wesleyan University and is employed at the Beatrice State, Home. The groom works at Dempster Dempster Industries Inc. They are at home at 500 South 6th Street, Beatrice. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse 'Hill of Holmesville and Mr. and Mrs. David R. Colgrove of Wymore, are parents of the couple.
