' Mr. and Mrs. Kianneth Simon, Mrs. Alberty and daughter, Ruth, attended attended church in Joplin, Sunday night. Mrs. Helen Simon attended tlie league convention held at Neosho last week. She was elected secretary secretary for the district for the coming year. Miss Teda Christan returned home after a week's visit with her grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. E. Howerton and sons of Joplin visited friends in this city Saturday. Mrs. W. O. Bowers visited her daughter in Columbus, Kan., this week. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lea and children, children, Gladys, Marion, and Ruth, spent Monday evening with Mr. and Mrs. H. Theuret. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lea, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Lea, and Mrs. Earl Hamby Hamby attended the funeral of their uncle, Samuel H. Lea, near Fillmore's bridge, Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. G. W. ' A- very delightful surprise dinner was served for Hi Theuret last Friday Friday evening. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. G. O. Kendrick, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lea and children. Norman Arment while returning to his home last Friday night had the misfortune to be bitten by a dog that was thought to be mad. Dr. Alberty Alberty is administering to him rabies vaccine treatment. Helen Hayes and brother, Eliga, are visiting their grandfather on farm near- Carthage. Dr. Alberty reports the birth of a baby girl at the home of Jess Bendure Bendure near Waco. ,
