Miss Nena Morrow has been elected to fill the vacancy in the faculty of the State Normal and Industrial College caused by the resignation of Miss Jennie W. Bingham, now Mrs. W. D. Toy. Miss Morrow is a native of Fayetteville, N. C., and received her educa- cation in this State at the Statesville Female College under Mrs. Grant's administration, at her mother's school in New Jersey, and at Mme. Clements' French Protestant School, at Germantown, Pa. She has studied under several native French teachers. In addition to the French, Miss Morrow will teach Spanish, which language she studied under the direction of Gnillermo Monsalvalge, ex- professor of the University of Havana, who says that she "is an accomplished Spanish scholar and competent teacher." Miss Morrow has taught in this State, and more recently in Texas. Her patrons, as well as the teachers who trained her, recommend her most cordially.
