A large number of tbe Union men of No. 3 convened in the Court Hall at 3 on Saturday 23rd and organized as a meeting by calling G- W. Anderson to Chair and appointing J. F.Davis Secretary.-On Secretary.-On motion of Richard Sheckles the meeting proceeded to elect by ballot twenty to the Connty Convention. Ou motion of Major E. M. Mobley 5 was named as the time for closing the The following delegates were elected : J. B. Thi'-ston William Knodle Benj. Harris John J. Byer William Mair William Phreaner. J. F. Davis John Tice A. J. Weis Thos. A. Boullt David Zeller G. W. Anderson A. R- Appleman D. F. Little T. E. Mittag Abraham Miller Albert Small Peter Negley W. H. Pretaman S. L. King On motion of Albert Levi, Esq., the ing resolution was adopted. Rewired that delegates of this district in the Connty vent ion be instructed and are hereby so gtructed, to vot for no candidate in the ty Convention who has not been an open jtvowed Union man during the recent for the life of the Nation, and who has been above suspicion ot any sympathy the wicked rebellion which lias just been ed by tbe power of the government.
