Cutter, probably ilacon's oldest resident, died here tonight at the age of S4 years. His entire life had been ■pent in this city, and he died within SO feet of the spot where he was born. As a boy he fished in the swamp where now stands the marble government building, and he remembered clearly just before his death of the time when Indians and whites mingled freely on the old Indian mound in Bast Macon, Often he saw bands of Creek Indians bringing their wares to sell at Fort Hawkins. He is survived by his widow,, formerly Mrs. Martha A. Cannon, of Savannah; two sons, Howard and William Cutter, and one stepson. J. W. Cannon. Mr. Cutter was the next to the last surviving member of the Floyd Rifles, The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon, and the interment will be In Rose Hill.
