The Robert Hall case was concluded concluded and given to the jury. John F. VVilliams was tried on a charge of assault with intent to kill. The defendant admitted his guilt and the jury returned a verdict of guilty from the box. W. W. Patton was tried on a charge of assault with intent to kill and acquitted. The defendant was remanded to jail to await trial on an indictment of larceny. Martin Byrd, a negro, was tried on a charge of stealing a stcjr in the Choctaw nation. The defendant defendant was the leader of the party of negroes, who had a fight with the Boyd-.Standley gang at Cache ferry, that resulted in the capture of Boyd and the killing of Meyers. Boyd and Standley are now serving time in Detroit for the killing of John Dansby, in that fight. Eugene Standley received the longest sentence sentence ever pronounced by this court —55 yenrs-
