First Wood 83, at rites Tuesday dies Mrs. Viol* ROM Smith, 65, of 1518 Edmonds St., died at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, at a Jefferson Jefferson City hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks. A native of Lane, Mrs. Smith was bom June 19,1907, the daughter of John and Elizabeth McGathy Laimore. On Oct. 29,1924, at Jefferson City, she was married to Martin Martin Spellerberg, who died Nov. 28, 1964. She then married George E. Smith, who survives. survives. Mrs. Smith attended the rural schools in Osage County and had resided in Jefferson City for 40 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Church. Other survivors include: Three sons, August J. Spellen- berg, Sunrise Beach, Arthur W. Spellenberg and Donald L. Spellenberg, both of Raytown. Four step-sons, George E. Smith Jr., Uel Smith, Donald L. Smith, and Robert F. Smith, all of Jefferson City. Four daughters, Mrs. Roselee Swift, Stover, Mrs. Mary Baldwin and Mrs. Carol Hostetter, both of Kansas City, and Mrs. Shirley Livings, Westminister, Calif. One step-daughter, Mrs. Violet R. Meyers, Fenton; four brothers, Joseph Lairmore, Lairmore, Jefferson City, Claude Lairmore, Linn, Charles Lairmore, Lairmore, Sedalia, and Howard Lairmore, Phoenix, Ariz. Four sisters, Mrs. Bessie Branson, Wichita, Kan., Mrs. Margaret Rice, Poplar Bluff, Mrs. Flossie Smith and Mrs. Mandy Harman, both of New Bloomfield; 23 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and 16 step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, at the Buescher Memorial Home with the Rev. Orville Lairmore Lairmore officiating.
