Two Women Win Prizes At Exhibit Two Rio Valle Woman'* Club memberi won prizes in the art exhibit exhibit which was a feature of the Eighth District convention in Monahans Monahans of Federated Women's Clubs of Texas. Mrs. Janet Herring of Clint won first place in the non-professional class for her oil painting, and Miss Peggy Provine of Fabens won third in the sams class. are members of El Paso Assn., and Las Artistas Verdes Chapter of Amateur Artists Assn. of America. Mn. Herring is chairman of the fine arts department of the Rio Vail* club and Miss Provine is chairman of the art division of the club fine arts department. Both have studied with Frederic Taubes ai Cloudcroft and both won awards at the 1954 district convention at Stockton. Mrs. Herring has several one-man shows and haj exhibited at the Sun Carnival art show. Woman's Club of El Paso sidewalk showi and others. Mrs. Herring and Miss Provine are chapter members of Las Ar- tistas Verdes Chapter, which was organized with members of the art departments of Rio Valle and Hudspeth Hudspeth Valley Women's Clubs.
