in at WELL KNOWN LARCHWOOD MARRIED MONDAY MORNING At a Nuptial Mass celebrated at iS.t. Mary's church in Larohwood, Monday morning, June 12, 1933, at eight o'clock, Miss Leona Catherine McGuire, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. McGuire, became the bride of George E. towers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Powers. Rev. H. A. Janse officiated. Clem- enlt Bruggemann, a nephew of tJhe bride, and Paul Bruggemann acted as serves. At the appointed hour, tihe bridal party entered the church to *he grains of the "Bridal Chorus" from lO'hengren, played by Mrs. Otto Haegele, a sister of the groom. Cleitus Bruggemann, nephew of the jride, as ring bearer, led the bridal laacty, carrying the ring in a basket f rose petals. The bride, attended by her sister, Mrs. J. B. Hevern, of R,ock Valley, vas most attractive in a floor length g,own of Mousselni de Sole in a pastel shade of pink, wearing a picture hat and accessories to match—she car- led a-beautiful bouquet of cream roses, and lilies of the valley tied viith streamers of ,pink and blue itulle. •Mrs. Hevern was lovely in a floor ength gown of pale bule lace, wear- ng a picture hat and accessories to match. She also carried a bouquet The groom, alttended by J. B. Hevern, of Rock Valley, wore a dank suit. . ' During the offertory, "Ave Marie' was played by the organist, Mrs. 0. Haegele and after qommunion, St Mary's choir sang "Happy Morning Sweet the Hour". After the ceremony a three-course Wedding dinner was served ait the Mc'Guire home. The dining room was cleverly decorated in pink and 'blue, :he bride's chosen colors. Miss McGuire graduated from St Mary's high school with the class oi 1921, attended' the Iowa State Teachers college and for the pas' twelve years she has been one oi t,yon county's-most successful schpo! teachers. Possessiong a charming personality and a friend to all who tnow her. Mr. Powers as the only son of Mr and Mrs. Thos. Powers. He attended 3t. Mary's school and is one of Lyon county's industrious young farmers After -a brief honey-moon, spen at Sioux City and the Lakes, they will be at home to their friends on a farm southwest of Larohwood.
