RITCHFA' Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Douthitt and Mrs. E. C. Douthitt visited at tho homo of Mr. and Mrs. Tuck Hutch-] Maison of near Berwick. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hutchison visited Tuesday with Mrs. Lauro, Lacey of Newtonia. Miss Henrietta English has spent the last ton days wilh Mr. and Mra. Jim English at Picher. Mr. and Mrs. John Beck and family of Arkansas City, Kans., spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Loving. Mrs. Beck is a niece of Mrs. Loving. Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Douthitt and daughter of Galena, Kans., spent the week-end with their many relatives relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Loffoon of Miami, Okla., were dinner guests Sunday at the Hersey home. Mrs. Loffoon is a niece of Mrs. Lee Hazel. Hazel. Mrs. Hettio Hardy and son, El- .\vood, Mrs. Robertson and son, Leonard and daughter, Maxine of Stella visited with relatives and friends here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Strong and family attended church services at Van Buren, Sunday evening. Several from this community attended attended the all day services which were held at the Baptist church in Newtonia, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Lofgren and daughters, Mina and Louise, were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Burr Sanders at Granby. Helen Adkins of Monett is visit- ing her grandmother, Mrs. Amelia' Sanders, this week. Mr. and Airs. Bernico Boswell and little daughter, Betta Jean of _Mon/Vrk Spring, were week-end visitors with Air. and Airs. Wm. English. Mr. and Airs. Oscar Hersey have completed a four-room bungalow and are moving into it this week. Air. and Airs. Arthur Largen and daughter, Eliza, were shopping in Joplin, Monday. Rev. O. N. Hornsby of Goodman preached at the Baptist church here Sunday for the pastor, Rev. Luther Carlln, of Alonett. Airs. Stella Wyatt and children of Anadarko, Okla., and Aliss Lorene Lorene Davidson of Chickasha, Okla., spent last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Erie Smerdon. Airs. \Vyatt and Aliss Davidson are sisters sisters of ATrs. Smerdon. Airs. Ban English and Airs. Curtis York were shopping in Neosho, Saturday. Mr. nnd Mrs. Homer York and Airs. J. F. Armstrong were shop- -plng in Joplin, Monday. Aliss Ethel Fox of Kansas City was a Saturday night visitor with Air. and Mrs. Oscar Hersey. Airs. Lee Hazel has been on the sick list the last two weeks but is improving. Tiie daily vacation Bible school has attained an enrollment of 43. The interest is good considering that this is a busy time on the farms. The school will close Friday. Friday. A program will be rendered tinder the auspices of the school at the Presbyterian church, Sunday night, June 15. Everyone is cordially invited to be present at the rendering rendering of the program.
