SOCIETY Mt. V. Federated Civic Club Members of the Mt.fV; Fcder. ated Civic club had their regular dinner meeting at Hotel Emmcr- son last evening. The tables were brightly and tastefully decorated in the gay Easter theme and the beautiful centerpiece was awarded to Mrs. Joe Gaunt. Mr.s. O. R. Spillman, president conducted the business meeting during which a report was given by the nominating committee. The report was votejl on and approved approved by the cluh^nd the following following officers elected: Mrs. Stan Kozlara, president; ,Mrs. Joe Gaunt, first vice-lpresident; Mrs. Robert Spillman, second vice- president; Mrs. F. C. Launer, recording recording scretary; Mrs. Ernest Hertcnstcin, corresponding secretary; secretary; Mrs. Marion Bullock, treasurer, treasurer, Board members are Mrs. Conrad Conrad Croy, Mrs. Thomas McKenzle and Mrs, Elmer Parker. ^oe Gaunt ran the projector while Mrs. Gaunt talked on their recent trip to the West Indies. The islands they visited Included Cuba, Haiti, Puerto R(ea and Jamaica. Among the many interesting interesting spots visited were picturesque picturesque Morro Castle and the impressive impressive U. S. Embassy in Cuba, Other outstanding entertainment entertainment included music by two stu- dent.s from the Mt. Vernon township township high school. Richard 'Eddings who, accompanied by Laverba Brown presented selections on the viola. Guests were Mrs. Pearl Henry, Mrs. James Hixon, |>oth of this city and Mrs. Harvey Sanders of Libertyville.
