Tuesday N Y Wasyl Piston Dies; Rites Thursday Wasyl Piston, 89, of Warners Road, Warners HD. was pronounced pronounced dead yesterday on arrival arrival at Midtown Hospital after suffering a heart attack at the home ol his daughter, Mrs. ucl E. Ivcs of Warners. Born in Calicia, Austria. Mr, Piston came to the United and the Syracuse area 68 years ago. He retired as a steamshovcl operator for the Solvay Process Division of Allied Chemical Co. in 1937 after 44 yeai-s service. Mr. Piston was a communicant and a founder of St. John Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church. He was a member of Sojdeninje Lodge 34, and of *0-Year Club of Solvay Process. Surviving besides Mrs. Ives ar'c three other daughters, Mrs. Edward Camryk of Aniboy, lohn Klyrn of Johnson City Mrs. Anna Scvak of Syracuse; 4 gradchildren, 23 great-grandchildren great-grandchildren and several nieces nephews. Services will be a-t 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Macko Funeral tome, 1609 W, Gencsee St.. at 9 a.m. in St. John the Jkraiman Catholic Church. The Very Rev. Basil Scrcdowycti vill officiate, with the Rev, Joeph Joeph Shabka assisting. Burial vill be in St. John's Cemetery.
