Bengals, Rustlers Will Grapple Here Friday Helena High's ma I men, ilrcnuthened In their lower weights where they needed it the most, take on tough Great Falls Hussell here Friday. The Bengals varsity grapplcrs will pit their knowledge — and strength - against the Number Three team in the state at 8 p.m. in the Helena High gym. The junior varsity squads wilt wrestle at 6.10 p.m. There wilt be a dozen exhibition matches ai 1:30 p.m. Saturday, the local maim™ will travel to Dillon. The match with Great Falls Russell has five tough contests. All pit Bengal-men against wrestlers who were In Ihe slale 'finals last vear. They wrestle ;at 1 12 (the weight of Bengal urn uauuiuj, liij iufiigai neon Abet); in (Joe Marsh); »5 (Pat Hurley); and 154 l Nick Ctadis). Bengals wrestling coach Jack Colin said his team has shown "tremendous improvement" in its progress Ihrough five divi sional matcnes. the improvement has been primarily in the lower weights, in which ihe team siariea weak Huppe at 138. They each have a 6-1 record; each was defeated by a former state champion. "Tliey have some real top wrestlers and are a welt-balanced team." Conn said of Great Falls Hussell. He said the lower weights could make alt the difference in the match. Great Falls downed Helena 36-18 in their Dec. 15 meeting. Things ware well for the Dillon match.
