Former Pioneer Resident Of Area Is Dead At 89 Mrs. Ruth Cox Enloe, 89, who died in Cleveland hospital, was buried Sunday in Splendora Cemetery. Cemetery. Mrs. Enloe was an early resident resident of this area during the oil boom, long before the towns of y, Rnytown and Goose Creek ged. She had with a daughter, Mrs. Virgii Cooper, Cooper, in Baytown and lived with them after the Coopers moved to Cold Springs. She is survived by three and five daughters. They sons are, Charles R. Cox. St. James, La.; T. G. Cox. Houma, La.; and Sidney Sidney Cox of Clute; also, Mrs. Thelma Thelma Griffin Hillin, Baytown; Mrs. I Valentine Schmittou, Los Angeles;; Mrs. Henritta Crawford, Splendora Splendora Mrs. Virgil Cooper, Cold Springs, and Mrs. Flora Atkins, Splendora. Also 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Rev. Hardy Lucas, pastor of Splendora Penecostal church, officiated. officiated. The funeral was directed by Pace-Stancil of Cleveland. Attending services from Baytown Baytown were members of the Stone and Herrin families. Mrs. Pansy Mattingly, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Shoemaker and family; Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Hillin and Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Cline of Highlands.
