Handsome Tettimouial. We learn from the Norfolk Herald that the British Government Government have presented, through Lord Napier, the British Minister in this country, a magnifi cent telewoje to Capt. Thomas F. Knowles, of the ship Currituck, of that port, for his valuable services in rescuing the crew and a passenger from the sinking wreck of the steamer Flora, of Jersey, in the month of No vember last. The Herald says : The sift is accompanied with a cony of a liiffhlv comnlimentarv note addressed bv Iini jNapier on tne i4tn mst. tour, secretary Uas, wherein his lordship is pleased to remark. that "the crew of the Flora were brought tf under circumstances . ot much difficulty and danger, and they were treated with the uttcost kindness by Capt - Knowles, who declined to accept any compensation for their sustenance from the British Consul at Marseilles."
