Old Police Badge Dug Up in Garden An addition was made today to Police Chief asper Webb's collection of police badges—this one from an unlikely source. Mrs. Richard Brieske, 447 Madison St., gave him a star of the type policemen wore about the turn of the century. i S"„ " inscribed Janesville ^'I'l''* ^«P'-, . . Mrs. Brieske found the badge while digging in her garden. Despite being buried for years, it still has traces of nickel plating plating and the copper figure is as good as new. Chief Webb said a quick check of police records failed to show who might have owned the badge or which officer may have lived at the Madison street address years ago.
