Allegro Chorus Sets Bid Of Farewell to Leader The long-famous Allegro glrli •horus has tuned in to a di««r- •nt song—which runs 'andant*' hi rhythm. For 15 years this chorus, originated originated by C. Kearns Ferre and, •a one of his major projects, developed Into ooo of the lead- Ing chorus organizations of the •tate, has thrived under his leadership. A farewell testimonial concert concert in his honor has been arranged arranged for Sunday, 7 p.m., at Stratford ward. Mr. Ferre will act In two capacities at this program—as new bishop and as chorus directpr. Three, guest artists will take part—Sterling Bush, Lucille McDonald and Helen Pyper Spencer. The chorus will present a full program. program. . Allegro chorus has appeared all over Utah at civic club and holiday entertainments at churches and on radio. Mr. Ferre organized it from among the Beehive and Gleaner glrl» of the old Eighteenth ward— and many of tht original members members still belong to It. Each Friday from September through May the 40 members meet for practices, Miss Lois White is th« accompanist, Mrs. Bessie Burton Burton is choriw president and Miss Evelyn Langford, historian of the group.
