CASH GIFTS BEST Central Bureau of Charities Re ceives Blankets in Addition Addition to Money 4 Contributions yesterday to the Central Central Bureau of Charities were best ot the season, $440.50. In addition ' to these cash gifts, a dozen pairs of blankets were received from Morris Lenson, who gave them instead of a cash contribution. They arrived just In time for one pair to go where there is serious illness. The others will be sent as needed where there are sick people unable to buy them. Several letters askipg aid have come to the Central Bureau otlice without signature. These are sharing the same fate as other anonymous letters no attention is being paid to them. Xumerous requests for gro ceries and coal are coming in, de manding attention each day. "A Friend" heads the list of contri butions as reported by Treasurer R. C. Wilson yesterday, with $100. Other gifts of the day are: Standard Furniture Furniture company, -$50; -$50; Fourth Luth eran, church, $42;. Frohsinn singini society, $25; Elwood S. Raugh, $25 Isaiah Scheeline, $20; W. H. Good- Good- fellow's Sons, $15; Bain Bible class, First Presbyterian, $15; M. L. Goss, $3 0; Charles R. Taylor, S10: S. A. Hite & Sons, $10; J. B. Felty, $10; The Grand Fraternity, $10. The Home Room club of the Roose velt high school, Miss Gertrude Hile- Hile- man, teacher, sends $6; Harry Tem- Tem- pleton, to; J. W. Orner, $5; C. F. Miller, $5; W. T. Ackers, $5; M.
