Synagogue last night In recognition of his having served the congregation loyally and devotedly for over 50 years, The guest of honor was presented with a plaque making him honorary life president of the congregation, at a service dedicated to him. Rabbi Charles J, Shoulson conducted conducted the service and delivered a sermon in which he spoke of Lincoln and his contacts with the Jews, and concluded with a stirring stirring tribute to Mr. Lenson. Rabbi Shoulson then presented Mrs. Harry Klrschner, president of the Agudath Achim Sisterhood, who added her tribute in behalf of the Sisterhood. . Mr. Joe F, Cohen, the president of the Congregation, then presented presented the plaque to Mr. Lenson and referred to Mr. Lenson's life and achievements in glowing terms. Mr. Lenson then made a brief speech of acceptance. The Lenson family has presented presented ' a Morris Lenson Award, in honor of the occasion, to be presented presented annually to the outstanding outstanding students of the Agudath Achim Hebrew and Sunday schools. This will be a perpetual award. Following the service, a very elaborate reception was held in the vestry of the Synagogue, at which the Sisterhood acted as host.
