Newton Yarberry Cleared Of Slaying; Case Is Dismissed BEEVILLE. May 18 I/PI — Newton Yarberry, Aransas Pass youth who nearly three years ago was charged with the slaying of his sweetheart choir-singer. Dorothy Dorcas Symons. Symons. was cleared of the charge today today by the state's dismissal of the case. Unable to produce several material material witnesses, state's attorneys moved the case be dismissed when it was called in district court today. The body of the Symons girl was found in a shallow grave on the Aransas Pass beach front July 30. 1931. Twice Yarberry went to trial on the state's accusation that he killed his lover and both times hung Juries resulted.
