Dearth will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at Lakewood Presbyterian Church, 3955 Studebaker Road. Mr. Dearth, 55, was killed killed Tuesday afternoon in a gunfight at his Willow Pharmacy, 1536-W. Willow St., after a young bandit pulled a gun during an apparent robbery attempt. Long Beach police Wednesday said they are looking for four suspects in the killing--three black men and' one black woman, all between 18 and 21. Dr. John R. Chandler will conduct the memorial service, assisted by Long Beach Superior Court Judge William Winston Jr. Holton and Sons, 614 Locust Locust Ave., are in charge of arrangements. Mr. Dearth was president president of the new Westside Businessmen's Association and a former vice president president of the Long Beach Exchange Club which adjourned adjourned its r e g u l meeting Wednesday in his honor. Club spokesmen said they will provide a "freedom shrine" in Mr. Dearth's memory at the new city hall. Mr. Dearth's wife, June, has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to a newly created Exchange Club scholarship scholarship fund.
